POLLET GROUP CHALLENGES
Pollet Group and Médecins sans frontières (Doctors without borders)
In 2018, Médecins sans frontières (Doctors without Borders) launched a pilot project to prevent waterborne diseases by rehabilitating and drilling wells in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe experienced extreme outbreaks of cholera and typhoid affecting 10,000 people. MSF created a long-term solution by rehabilitating 50 water wells and train participants to drill water holes. This approach resulted in a drop from 10,000 cholera cases to just 2 in 5 months. Pollet Group will help to scale up this project to new countries as a philanthropic partner of Médecins Sans Frontières. Discover more about the project here.

Herco supports charity Leben braucht Wasser e.V. by providing a plant to treat water to drinking water quality
Herco Wassertechnik GmbH is proud to provide drinking water to 700 families in need in Peru. “Our challenge is to provide a continuous source of pure water, our most important raw material. Which is why I immediately said 'Yes, we're in!' when the charity organisation described the situation on the ground to me. After all, we are specialists in water treatment and our high-quality reverse osmosis plants are used all over the world. To see that our cutting-edge technology is helping to improve the lives of many families and save lives as part of this project motivates all of us at Herco and we are very much behind it,” explains Managing Director Edwin Locker.

POLLET GROUP SUPPORTED KAREL SABBE IN HIS 2650 KM WORLD RECORD
It was an inspiring story and we gladly identify ourselves with the entrepreneurial nature of this challenge: Karel Sabbe attacked and has beaten the Fastest Known Time on the Via Alpina. In 31 days, Karel covered 2650km through the Alps. That amounts to about two marathons a day, 160,000 meters of altitude and rough ground every day from Trieste in northern Italy to Monaco. Read his story here or find out more about the trip on his own website and get inspired. Such drive? That is what we like to associate ourselves with!
